Python Dinobot - Automating Ark Server Management

The Inspiration:

The adventure with Dinobot began when a group of friends and I decided to host our own Ark Survival Evolved server. While exploring Python to automate tasks, I came across the idea of using it for Discord automation as well.

Building the Solution:

Dinobot is a Python bot designed to seamlessly manage our Ark server through the Discord server we used.

Key functionalities:

• Server Monitoring: Dinobot kept a watchful eye on our server's status, providing real-time updates through the Discord channel.

• Remote Control: The bot allowed server control through user-friendly commands or emoji reactions (🟢 for on, 🔴 for off, 🔄️ and for restart).

• Seamless Integration: Dinobot seamlessly integrated with our server hosting site, allowing remote actions without needing to directly access the hosting panel.

A Learning Experience:

While the server is no longer running (and Dinobot is on pause as well), this project remains a cherished part of my programming journey. It solidified my interest in Python and its potential for automating tasks, and the user-friendly interface (commands and emoji reactions) remains a source of personal pride.
